This article shows the results of methods of assessing the activity and functional orientation of the organizational-economic mechanism of gold mining industry enterprises in the Republic of Uzbekistan and the author's approach. According to it, it is possible to identify the advantages and disadvantages of improving the organizational and economic mechanism of existing gold mining enterprises.
