Abstract

The article puts forward the concept of poverty, criteria for its definition, proposals for eliminating a number of negative processes of poverty in society and the economy. Taking into account foreign experience, proposals have been made to develop criteria and assessment methods for determining the level of poverty, minimum standards and normative foundations for social security.
