Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the challenges faced by women entrepreneurs which impacts the sustainability of tourism industry in Oman. Quantitative approach was used in this study where a survey was conducted on selected women entrepreneurs in the rural areas of Al Batinah region. Data were collected from 51 respondents using a Likert scale close ended questionnaire and data was analyzed using SPSS. Regression analysis results revealed the challenges and its impact on sustainable tourism. Implications and limitations of the study are also discussed.
